The SELCO Legacy Committee makes decisions regarding the use of Legacy funding and provides guidance and oversight of Legacy projects. The Committee ensures the projects fulfill the goals of the Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
A majority of the committee members must be current members of the SELCO/SELS Board of Directors, and meetings must have a quorum made up of a majority of Board members. Additionally, up to three non-Board members may be included to represent the arts and cultural heritage communities. The Committee will meet virtually six times a year.
The Committee will:
Maintain confidentiality of information and fully disclose any actual or possible financial conflicts of interest related to any Legacy projects.
Review and update subgrant Application and Final Report forms, and other supporting materials before they are released to the libraries.
Develop criteria for reviewing applications.
Evaluate competitive grant applications.
Award funding for approved Legacy projects.
As needed, review Final Report submissions received from libraries following the completion of their approved project.
