Charge
The Committee shall explore and recommend strategies to strengthen relationships, communication, and collaboration between the SELCO/SELS Board and SELS member libraries.
This includes:
Identifying opportunities to deepen mutual understanding
Enhancing regional engagement
Supporting the Board in more effectively aligning with and advancing the regional goals and priorities of SELS member libraries.
Committee Membership: 4-5 Board Members
Staff Liaisons: Executive Director, Director of Administration
Regional Librarians - School; Outreach & Programming
Potential Activities:
Assign a liaison to attend SELS Advisory Committee meetings
Conduct listening sessions with SELS members (virtual or in-person) to surface priorities, challenges, and emerging needs.
Develop a short annual “SELS member pulse survey” to gather consistent feedback on Board communication, decisions, and support needs.
Revive the SELS annual membership meetings
Develop clearer pathways for SELS members to elevate concerns or proposals to the Board, including timelines and expectations.
